I have identical symptoms to Franz. I have a Palm Tungsten T. I can successfully sync maybe 1 time in 20. All other times I receive output from gpilotd just like Franz' above. I have tried creating a hard /dev/pilot as suggested by Matt - the symptom persists, and then udev scripts tidy up /dev/pilot afterwards!
pilot-xfer also does not work reliably, nor does Jpilot. I have built 0.12 pilot-link. If I have a hard link to /dev-pilot, pilot-xfer dies straight away with the message "Killed." Otherwise, if I have not pressed the button, pilot-xfer says "Unable to bind to port: /dev/pilot". If I have pressed the button, pilot-xfer asks for me to press it again. Timing is definitely an issue, but there is some other subtle problem, otherwise the hard link would work. -- Pb syncing treo 650 on dapper drake https://launchpad.net/bugs/38574 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
