Thank you for the quick response and advice. I am having a little difficulty generating the backtrace for evolution-data-server. I can successfully attach to the process and duplicate the hang in evolution, but when I press Ctl-C in the gdb (using instructions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace), the gdb application is closed and I am returned to a bash prompt. So, I am unable to run the other commands in gdb to generate the backtrace.
Do you know if there is a way to launch evolution-data-server from within gdb? That is what I did when generating the backtrace from evolution. That method allowed me to press Ctl-C, when evolution was hung. I will keep experimenting, but I thought I should ask, in case there is a simpler way. -- Evolution hangs on "Generating message list" with GroupWise account https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327683 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
