I confirm this bug on Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10, too, although the login
sound when disabled is the same one I get when it is disabled. It does
not always play when disabled, but it often does. I'm thinking about
putting a dummy custom sound in that doesn't make any sound instead.
Anyway, I want it disabled so I don't have to worry about my volume
level when starting my laptop in a public setting.
