After further testing, it seems this doesn't happen every time, and there are other problems after resume. The output of dmesg after resume shows a lot of "SQUASHFS Error" lines - and I see the original submitter's dmesg.afterResume.txt log shows a similar result - so is the problem here perhaps the LiveCD not coming back on-line quickly enough upon resume?
