what does rhythmbox says about it? could you get a rhythmbox log while
plugging the player? just execute rhythmbox as : rhythmbox --debug &>
rhythmbox-debug.txt and plug in the device, later submit the resulting
log file to the report. I'd be useful to get a full hal log with the
instructions located at
