Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

Hardware:
EeePC 901
RAM: 2GB
SSD1 (4GB)= /
SSD2a (5GB)= /usr
SSD2b (3GB)= /var

Software: Ubuntu Intrepid (8.10 german) incl newest updates.

I want (if possible) ;-)
"Change"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
documents (8GB-USB-SD-Card)= /media/Dokumente
pictures (8GB-USB-Stick)= /media/8GB-Stick/Documents/Pictures
videos (8GB-USB-Stick)= /media/8GB-Stick/Documents/Videos
music (8GB-USB-Stick)= /media/8GB-Stick/Documents/Music
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I try "ubuntu-tweaks" (with normal user-rights and root-rights),
but the system make this change return to the system-standart.
Why make the system this logic Order change return ?
I understand, if user make not correct change, the system correct this.
But when i want correct change to move the document-folder to another place,
the system must be accept and make this. Root-folder (and also root-document
and root-desktop and so on)
must to be to a root-partition on root/ - folder....ok
Only my personal - folder i must can change to another place.
On my EeePC 901 i have not more place for it ;-) (please see the "Change")

For an normal PC this also is a possible wish, please think: the data on a
external medium is more secure
as in System on PC (Theft, PC-Defect, SSD-defect and so on)
Thank you very much for your help and time
Yours sincerely
Pickard
