Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When sorting email
I create folder for certain email
I drag and drop email to folder from inbox
or select multiple email and move to folder
either way same results

after moving I close evolution

later return to check mail and dump trash
and notice all the messages
that I moved for storage are now in trash

I notice if I try to drag some mail from junk to folder
I get same results
except that the duplicate goes in the junk folder

I am not getting an error message
I just seem to have multiples of of the same email
I originally moved

I never noticed this in thunderbird

So In short everytime I move mail it seems to send a copy to the trash folder
any help would be nice
ubuntu 8.10 clean build
just rebuilt less than a week
