I tried a little more. Doesn't seem to affect other programs. Tried Firefox, Thunderbird, Kate, K-mail and Nero.
None of the above program activated any menu-item by just pressing ALT, you have to use a combination like ALT+A (in swedish version alt+a is file-menu). OpenOffice is, so far, the only I've found that activate a menu-item with ALT only. -- Watching a x264.mp4-file while using OO.
