Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

My system is a freshly installed 9.04. When trying to open a folder via
Places, Home Folder, for example, the window list will say "opening
my_username" but will not actually open the folder. The only workaround
to actually see my files to go go to a program like rhythmbox, click
"import folder" and it will bring up the reduced form of nautilus used
for selecting files.
