Problem still (or again) here on Jaunty: In the Places menu of gnome just below the "Computer" item there is a "root" item. When i click it i wait 60s and then get the message:
-- Unable to mount root DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) -- On this position in the menu normally are external volumes as usb sticks and memory sticks. Problem was not reproducible on another system. Mine was installed years ago and had many release upgrades. My fstab ist self-made and contains following line for the root device: #/dev/vg00/lv_system / ext3 rw,data=ordered, relatime 0 0 It makes no difference if it is commented out or not. -- root directory is in gnome "Places" list (dapper) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/39282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
