sim909's trick also fixed the problem for me. Maybe this is more of a usability 
bug. It is rather counterintuitive to have menu options at the top for "Themed" 
and "Themed with face browser" and then to also have themes in the list of 
themes that are, e.g., "Human" and "Human with face browser" when the latter 
doesn't work unless the "Themed with face browser" option is available.
I haven't tried it, but what happens when the "Human" theme is selected, and 
the "Themed with face browser" option is selected. Does this combination have a 
face browser?
Also, was this behavior changed in the upgrade to Jaunty? I didn't install the 
"Peace" theme as Matej did, but now that I think about it, I did install the 
kubuntu-desktop after upgrading to jaunty, and I don't remember now whether the 
face browser behavior changed before or after installing kubuntu.
