Hi! I have tested what you told us (sudo gnome-settings-daemon --no-daemon --debug). When I pressed a key that it's working fine, it printed some information about that action, but when I press the non working keys it doesn't print anything at all, the only thing that happen is that the cursor stop turning between black and white and remain black while I'm pressing the non working key.
I'll attach a text file with the info printed in the terminal, the last things that are printed were the response when I pressed the working keys. I don't have the guest session activated, i couldn't test it.
