Critical system services should have a warning popup in this case.

I agree,  But I'm not average, and need I the access.
There needs to be a global setting for "Expert, Power User, Novice" user 
interface levels, like Xine had.
Ubuntu is in danger of getting too dumbed down already. 
I've burned a couple of hundred man hours since installing "Jaunty" tracking 
down and working around
 the various and sundry "safety" and "security" features, in order to get my 
development work done.

Please do not install more default "naderers", without identifying them
and providing an off switch.
