It seems like a bug to me, and no, the installation passwords do not work. None of the user or admin passwords work. When trying to add my Gmail calendar to evolution's calendar, Evolution asks for my Gmail account's password; I give it the correct password, and then a second dialog appears: "Unlock Keyring". (See attached screenshot) Once again, none of the passwords ever used at any time on this computer will work. Here's the terminal output while Evolution was running:
:~$ evolution ** (evolution:7502): DEBUG: mailto URL command: evolution %s ** (evolution:7502): DEBUG: mailto URL program: evolution ** (evolution:7502): DEBUG: EI: SHELL STARTUP e-data-server-ui-Message: Unable to find password(s) in keyring (Keyring reports: No matching results) e-data-server-ui-Message: Key file does not have group 'Passwords-Mail' (evolution:7502): e-data-server-ui-WARNING **: Unable to create password in keyring (Keyring reports: Access Denied) ** (evolution:7502): DEBUG: EI: mail_read_notify ** (evolution:7502): DEBUG: MAIL SERVER: Count changed: 0 One more thing, the keyring request dialog dominates the screen almost completely. I couldn't even get a screenshot at first (I eventually had to close the dialog, take a screenshot with a 30-second delay, and start the problem over. I also couldn't copy from the dialog and paste text into this bug report for the same reason. ** Attachment added: "screenshot of annoying dialog" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27257863/Screenshot-Unlock%20Keyring.png -- Evolution /usr/bin/evolution asking for access to default keyring but it is locked https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373064 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
