Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
As far as I know, the only way to install plugins is to extract them and place them in the ~/.gnome2/gedit/plugins/ directory (which doesn't even exist by default). You should be able to open the Plugins tab and drag .tar.gz files (or links to such files) directly into it, like you can in Appearance or Deskbar, and they will be downloaded and installed automatically. There are probably even better ways to do it. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Should be easier to install plugins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/385028 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
