Still experiencing this problem using Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope.

Still cant quite figure out exactly what causes it to do this.  The
applet still works after the error (when the first window does not
disappear). So if you click on the "force quit" icon again another modal
window appears on top, but this one disappears when you press ESC.  The
original window remains even when I started a fullscreen game to try and
clear the display.  It is on top of all other applications and will not
go away without reboot or killing the panel (as above)

If anyone has a trace from the applet when it does this or knows how the
applet works it would be appreciated. Does it start a new instance of
another program when you run it?
