First of all, I changed system language from german to english to
reproduce the problem. But the problem as descriped above does not
appear. I don't know why. So I'm not sure if you are able to reproduce
it in other languages. However, it is probably a problem in the german
language translation.

OK. I try to write down in a few steps: 
 - Start OpenOffice-Writer or Calc and totem (in german Gnome desktop).
 - In Totem play any audio file like MP3, internet radio
 - Than open in Totem „Preferences“ and than go to the flag "Display". Check if 
you have marked the option "Allow the screensaver to activate even....". If yes 
uncheck this option. Change to OpenOffice, than after a few seconds the menue 
"Files" opens spontaniously without any mouse or keyboard activity.

If you like I can upload a screenshot (250 kb). I did do because I don't
want to overstress the server capacity
