Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
When out of disk space, gnome-terminal forgets its profile settings, reverting from my prefered white text on a black background to the opposite. I discovered this while fighting with this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mlocate/+bug/371749 Since I am using one big ol' ext4 root, when /var fills up, requests to write to /home/... fail as well. I have made no (intentional) changes to my gnome-terminal profile settings in this time. So the question is: why is gnome-terminal/gconf writing to disk when nothing has changed? And of course, how do we stop this or at least catch the errors - an old config is always better than a broken file which reverts to a default config. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-terminal forgets profile settings when out of disk space https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
