Yep, just checked with the command line copying within the same partition while creating/simple editing and saving the document in gedit. Editing itself is OK. But if I try to save a newly created document, I observe the problem.
But I do not think, that it is the problem of Nautilus. Since, I observed the most of the problems described in the initial report with the Firefox (3.0 and 3.5 as well).
