I have not been able to isolate the cause. I've noticed this in particular when navigating java src archives which tend to have many folders to drill through. May be a result of clicking too fast???
When I am navigating through an archive it seems to inadvertently go into drag and drop mode. An entry must be highlighted for this to happen, but it doesn't necessarily happen when an item is highlighted.
