Public bug reported: The following behaviour puzzles me since several years and it continues to exist in Jaunty:
Start "Appearance Preferences" Choose "Fonts" Click "Details" Select "Smoothing: Subpixel" Select "Hinting: Full" Click "Close" The strange result on the "Fonts" tab of the appearance preferences is marked by the cursor in this screenshot. The "Rendering" selector turns invalid and shows four (-). What is the meaning of (-) (-) (-) (-)? Is the combination of full hinting with LCD subpixel smoothing invalid? If it is invalid, why can I choose it? ** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Odd behaviour when selecting "full hinting" for "lcd subpixel smoothing" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
