I'm just checking back in to ask if there's any sort of ETA on a total fix for this bug. I followed Alan Tam's helpful reply to me above and, like others here, I can live with the result as far as simply watching a video. However, I'm learning to use Cinelerra to edit video and the colors really aren't working for that.
So is there an ETA on a total fix? Will there be a total fix? And if there is one, will it update Ubuntu automatically, or will I have to fetch/apply the fix (and if so, how will I know when and what to do)? Sorry to ask so many questions and I hope I don't seem demanding or rude, but I really want to get this sorted out so that I can get on with learning to edit video.
