I experienced this bug using gnome-power-manger version 2.27.92-0ubuntu1
in karmic. I built the previous version of the package, version
2.27.91-0ubuntu1, and installed it. Using that version of the package
the bug no longer occurs, the gconf settings with both version of the
package installed were the same.
