Public bug reported:

In winxp and older ubuntu sound works fine; well, indeed a little fiddly
with ubuntu, but now i only hear sort of wispering or crosstalk. No
possibility to adjust anything. Tried to change all the outputdevices,
but no sound (eather video, audio or midi).
