The bug is still present in ubuntu and kubuntu 9.10 on eclipse 3.4 and 3.5 either installed from eclipse.org or zend.org. zend studio even brings his own jre to run eclipse.
eclipse from the ubuntu repository works, but is unable to install any php dev extensions due to version problems of dependencies...
