Same here on my fresh Karmic installation (x86_64), using a Seagate
Barracuda ST31500341AS. I also tried the 32 bit version of Karmic and
got the the same results.

I ran SeaTools for Windows' Long Generic test' to confirm that the drive
was OK and it passed the test (see attached log file) so I guess it is
indeed a false positive.
