Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I had created a new folder on the desktop. I dropped items into it (two of
these being a saved web-page and its images folder)
Shortly after, in the same session, I opened the folder. It was empty.
The bug report page popped up.
The missing files were recovered from the deleted items bin.

I'm pretty sure I didn't put them there!

Has not repeated since.

Ubuntu 9.10 updated today.
