Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

I upgraded from 9.04 on a macbook pro 4,1 and the sleep/resume cycle
doesn't work anymore. I have the impression that it never properly goes
to sleep: the screen goes dark, but not dark-dark. I've had a cursor
flickering once when I try to resume.

I resolved a similar issue on 9.04 by installing the nvidia 185 driver
and removing the "sync to blank" in the nvidia X-configuration tool
(several instances). Now with 9.10 the same 185 is still there. I've re-
selected the 'restricted' repository for Karmic.

The syslog doesn't give a clear indication that something went wrong. It
notices "avahi-daemon: registering new address record"

btw: this bug-reporting tools say architecture is amd64, while the cpus
are intel. Is that correct?
