Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-games

PROBLEM:

A standard install of the gnome-games package does not include the
packages needed to play the Chess game in 3d.

HOW TO REPRODUCE:

1. Install gnome-games, if it isn't already installed.
2. Click on Chess.
3. Note the bland 2d graphics.
4. Click on Settings -> Preferences, looking for a way to make it look nicer.
5. Note the option that says to use 3d mode.
6. Click on that, and read the dialog box explaining that Python OpenGL and
other bindings have to be installed first, and suggesting you contact your
system administrator.
7. Note that the chess game still isn't in 3d.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

Chess game will be in 3d when the box to play it in 3d is checked.
(Although other bug reports suggest crashes when 3d is enabled, which
does complicate things.)
