Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
-You should be able to make an auto hidden panel show up when you mouse over the edge of the hidden panel. -Instead of the above described behavior which can be observed with the bottom and the top panel, a right and/or the left panel stays hidden no matter what you do. Steps to reproduce: 1)Create a new panel 2)Right click on it and open properties 3)Set orientation to be right or left (side panels) 4)Select autohide 5)Close the 'Panel Properties' window (the panel should hide now) 6)Try to 'mouse over' the panel to make it show up. It just won't show up. The only way to see an auto hidden side panel is to right click on a launcher from an other panel, select move and move it to the hidden panel. There is a VIDEO attached, showing the problem with details.
