I get a temporaly workaround for fix gnome-panel freeze: Download and install the last stable package for gtk+2.0: wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gtk+2.0/libgtk2.0-0_2.19.1-1_i386.deb sudo dpkg -i libgtk2.0-0_2.19.1-1_i386.deb Reboot or start a new gnome session. For me works now.
