Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
It's exactly like the bug written at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/86148. At this address it says with the new release of gedit everything should be okay. However this was back to feisty times and I'm now using Lucid alpha 64 bit desktop version. When I try to select snippets plugin in preferences, it turns grey (picture attached) and in the terminal the message here http://pastebin.com/fa67777 appears. I used gedit help menu 'Report a Problem' feature, so I'm not attaching any more info.
