I have the same GIMP bug. EVERYTHING FREEZES no other help than switching on/off the hole system in the hard way. Using 9.10 Ubuntu 64 bits and GIMP 2.6.7 on a Medion all in one pc. VERY ANNOYING !!! Please give some priority to this problem.
