Same problem, but on 32 bit. Also saw the bug mentioned by Matjaz above, and believe I am experiencing https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/374101 regarding normalization (will work on that too). Have had Karmic on here for about a month, but hadn't tried to burn anything til now.
