I sort of accidentally stumbled on this feature because of my touchpad. I'll detail Step 2 if it will help.
Step II broken down: 1. Click on an image in the part of the Evince window displaying the PDF. 2. Drag the image a little bit (a few pixels is sufficient) 3. Drop it on the same part of the Evince window displaying the PDF. 4. Ta-dah! It displays in a new Evince window. I'm perfectly satisfied to use the Right-Click -> Save Image As... feature but the thing is that sometimes it's iffy because there's text embedded in the PDF and that gets selected and I don't get the right context menu. If, however, I do the drag thing I can instantly tell what's happening (either I'm getting the image, or text is getting selected). -- Evince deletes temporary image file obtained from PDF as soon as PDF is closed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505168 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
