Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

After resuming my Acer laptop (with Ati Radeon x700) from suspend, the
color depth of X changes to 8 bit or similar. Originally it is set to 24
bit color depth which is presented after the boot process but it
degrades after the first suspend/resume.
