Guys!  What's this nonsense about closing this as invalid (to reduce the
list of open bugs, I assume).  If it's already been reported then it's a
dupe and should be marked as such.  It's nice to have gpointing-device-
settings but I don't think you can configure scim or ibus with it.

So, while I don't have an obvious solution the issue raised here by Paul
is absolutey valid, namely that input-related stuff needs to be
configured in too many places.  So, let's discuss that.
