Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

I've just made clear install of Ubuntu 9.10, gnome-media: Installed:
2.28.1-0ubuntu1, Alsa Driver Version 1.0.20.
i have problem with sound input. Sound output works well, but sound input
doesn't work at all.

For testing I tried to record something with gnome-sound-recorder.
The length is 0 sec all the time. If press "play", it says "The stream contains
no data".
Also doesn't work audio input on any other audio software (like skype, empathy)
with both internal or external microphone.

It's odd, but on the same hardware, when booting from LiveCD, gnome-
sound-recorder works great.

what should I do to fix this problem?
