Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

I use Ubuntu 9.10, evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2
As user 1001 I'm the document owner and the PDF shows in 'properties' rw for
the owner and ro for the group. Evince does not even show the pdf-files in the
directory. With Ubuntu 8.04 all is working fine.
I reinstalled evince because during Ubuntu 9.10 install I had no chance to add
the user ID 1001 what I use in all linux systems.
Had to add a new user and swap ID's. Other programs as OO work fine.
I appreciate some hints how to get it working.
best regards
eugen
