Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
I use Ubuntu 9.10, evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 As user 1001 I'm the document owner and the PDF shows in 'properties' rw for the owner and ro for the group. Evince does not even show the pdf-files in the directory. With Ubuntu 8.04 all is working fine. I reinstalled evince because during Ubuntu 9.10 install I had no chance to add the user ID 1001 what I use in all linux systems. Had to add a new user and swap ID's. Other programs as OO work fine. I appreciate some hints how to get it working. best regards eugen ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Feb 9 10:41:59 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evince InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027.1) Package: evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash LANG=en_US.UTF-8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: evince Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic x86_64 ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- evince 2.28.1 'permission denied' pdf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519223 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
