I tried to install, but without success. After installation, there is no gthumb executable in the system.

The problem is if I open selected images with gthumb, the folder from which they are originating is not set as current folder. If you try to rename, image disappears from command line catalog (it is in it's folder but not shown in gthumb). If you try to scale, all scaled images are not saved in the folder from which are opened but in the home folder by default and also disappear from gthumb.
