Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Because Ubuntu 10.04 alpha now has decided to move the Window control icons (Maximise, Minimise,Close) to the LHS of all windows, all the previews of available Themes are now misleading as they show these icons in their "traditional" positions on the RHS. This will be confusing to users as they will expect a theme to actually look like the preview - otherwise why bother having the preview at all? I personally thought that the LHS icons were just part of a new theme and was most disappointed when I could not revert back to "normal" just by selecting a different theme. When I found out that I had to use the gconf editor to hack the relevant Metacity definition to fix things (a most user-unfriendly "feature") I was more disappointed.
