(In 10.04 lucid, updated just today)

Just having similar issue here. evolution-data-server seems running in
an endless loop, with a 100% CPU usage, which in a single-celeron
machine is easily noticed...

$> ps faxu | grep evolution
1000 1414 0.0 0.6 68340 12424 ? Sl 18:55 0:00
\_ /usr/lib/evolution/2.28/evolution-alarm-notify
1000 1421 56.6 0.4 78568 9668 ? SLl 18:55 123:09
/usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.28
--oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_DataServer_CalFactory:1.2
--oaf-ior-fd=36

The only non-usual thing I did today with Evolution is removing the
CouchDB address book used in Ubuntu One.

Attached the GDB report after attaching to the running process.

Cheers

installed all debug symbols"
