I've read through most of the comments and justification but I still think this change is MAJOR FAIL. Please revert. I've been working very, very hard to fix Bug #1 and this sort of change is probably the most destructive thing you could possibly have done. Nobody I've spoken to likes this change, no matter how you may justify it.
