** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: empathy

the ubuntu theme shows misleading timestamps for messages in conversations
from previous days.
- a message might look like
+ a conversation in empathy with the ubuntu theme enabled would look like this:

- "hi there, luv" - 15:42
+ "helle darling, please pick up the kids today" - 15:42
+ "okay luv, no problem" - 15:29

- and right below it
+ in this example, the date of the first message can not be determined.
+ one may falsely conclude, it was sent on the same day

- "hello, darling" - 15:29
-
- better would be, to assess, if a message was sent on the same day, or on a
different date.
- if the date differs, it should be included in the timestamp .
- if the date of the message is TODAY, then the timestamp can omit displaying
the date.
+ better would be, to determine wheter a message was sent on the same day, or
on a different day.
+ if the date differs, that information should be included in the message's
timestamp.
+ if the date of the message is TODAY, then the timestamp can omit that
information safely.
