My review of the attached patch adding a display mode combo box beside the display in advanced mode: - GNOME is in a hard code freeze and Ubuntu is in a UI freeze so I'm not planning on making any UI changes before Lucid. - I would very much like to avoid adding GUI elements like this to an already crowded GUI. I think there are better solutions that can be developed to provide functionality like this. - The requirement for this element was to easily convert between bases, however this functionality has already been fixed as described in comment #4. There doesn't seem to be a good requirement to quickly convert between other display modes.
The UI is certainly not perfect. Lets continue to work on the design in the next cycle. Programming mode is a splatter of buttons and needs to be seriously reconsidered. A thought is to make the programming mode hexadecimal by default. -- gcalctool 5.29 hides switch for display format in its settings window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gcalctool in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
