sorry I have been so inattentive to this bug I can confirm that it still exists in Lucid Beta 1. I have also got an exact way to replicate it. I found it when I accidentally hit caps lock during the install when I was typing my password I couldn't log in to my computer after installation and it took me ages to figure out what I had done. So that is I typed 'PASSWORD123' instead of 'password123' So when I went to change my password back to 'password123' I stumbled upon this bug. It seems that when the only difference between two passwords is their capitalization the program freezes and fails to display the warning that my passwords are too similar this behavior is shown in password change 1.jpg. Whereas when I changed my password from 'password123' to 'phssword123' (or any such slight change) it displays the correct warning as shown in 'Password change 2.jpg'. Hope this helps only a small bug but we are so close to mainstream acceptance don't want some uninformed media writer picking on what looks to be like an awesome release because they couldnt change their password. If you beed any more info let me know!
