I had to deviate from the course set out by the web page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace.
When I start nautilus from gdb it starts threads and I cannot control it through gdb any longer. Only way out is to force quite nautilus and then gdb crashes. So I elected to attach gdb to the running thread of nautilus (up to now still following instructions). Here is where I had to deviate: When I attach gdb to the running process and continue gdb, same as above happens and I loose control over gdb. So I did the backtrace _without_ continue. I figure it is probably in its infinite loop or dead lock anyway, so I hope the data is usable. ** Attachment added: "gdb-nautilus.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/41722560/gdb-nautilus.txt -- Nautilus hangs on opening Trash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544859 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
