Hi Sebastien, I am not sure I understand your comment, but I'll try to answer anyway.
> downgrading to 0ubuntu1 works Yes, it does, with no errors whatsoever. > and using ubuntu3 is that correct? I am not using 0ubuntu3 right now, since it doesn't work. But I did use it a few hours ago, and it didn't work, hence the bug report. > What error do you get in such cases? Not sure what cases, I assume you mean when using 0ubuntu3? I got no errors, it just presented me with the usual "Log In" button. I clicked on it and instead of getting a textbox to enter my username, I got another screen with "login" and "cancel" but without the textbox. Hence I was unable to enter my username (or my password) anywhere. Clicking login didn't do anything and I had to manually kill GDM at that point. I retried killed and restarted gdm 3 times hoping it would start working, but it never did (until I rolled back to the previous gdm version). The output @/var/log/gdm is not enlightening IMHO, but I can paste it here if you think it will help.. Let me know if I can provide you with more info. Also, I suggest you try to reproduce this bug on your own system with the steps I described, assuming you are also using Lucid Lyx, you should be able to reproduce in less than 30 seconds, that way we can at least confirm this bug. -- cannot login with disabled user list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557589 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
