Still experiencing the problem with up to date Lucid Beta 2. Not sure how a bug report would come through if nothing crashes.
I have a 1440x900 on my laptop. and an external 1920x1080. Once connected in twinview mode, 1440x900 behaves like 1440x1080 on desktop. Icons start disappearing to the dead space :( I have tried with both compiz and metacity and have the same problem incase those two are causing issues. maybe its an nvidia bug! Of all the things us Linux folks are ahead of Windows, we surely don't do well when it comes to multiple monitors! the nvidia forum support for dual monitor is entirely xorg.conf editing instead of using the settings manager they provide.
