I must add: I have played around with the os trying to see what is going on. None of the "Places" menu items will function. The icon appears in the tray for a few seconds then disappears. I feel that one of the last updates that I nonchalantly let run messed up the pointers in the os where the files were located but I just don't know enough about the os yet to contribute. I just hope if you all make some progress, that you will tell me in a way where I can learn better.
